Remarkable art workshop prepared for Sunday afternoon lecturer Hana Lamatová in conjunction with the exhibition Olomouc Picture Gallery IV. She devoted it to the ritual of drinking tea and coffee in our society safely anchored in the 19th century.
“Together we tasted tea from the historicist teaware and looking at the exposed porcelain paintings of the nineteenth century,” explained Lamatová at the start of workshop. Participants performed exposure and stopped them, for example, at work by Josef Laurer Still Life with Lobster or canvases David de Noter.
“Before the embellishments we explained how varied porcelain from its development from 1708, when it was createted for the Saxon Elector Augustus the Strong by Johann Friedrich Bottger,” said Lamatová.
Then the candidates have already embarked on decorating white cups and saucers. Theirs decorations in the studio, first sketched and then transferred to porcelain. Home leave with a decorated mugs.
“They painted with special colors that do not need to burn them, but for better steadiness is just put in the oven at home for one hundred and sixty degrees,” explained lecturer.
