A Thousand Years of Spiritual Culture in Moravia

The permanent exhibition To Glory and Praise II in chronological order presents art in the Olomouc (arch)diocese from the oldest documents of material culture to the end of the Baroque in Moravia at the end of the 18th century. There is special attention paid to the phenomenon of collections of Olomouc bishops and archbishops as well as to the artistic patronage of Olomouc canons. An exclusive selection of liturgical arts and crafts is presented in two vaulable treasuries. The exhibited works of art come mostly from church property, but they are also significantly complemented by collection items from the collection of the Olomouc Museum of Art, several other institutions and private collections.
