WHO ARE WE?
The Museum of Art Olomouc is operated by the Museum of Modern Art and the Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum. In addition, it has a special workplace – the Kroměříž Archdiocesan Museum, which takes care of the Archbishop’s collections at the Archbishop’s Castle in Kroměříž.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The museum collects and cares for works of art such as paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings. We organise exhibitions and one-off events for the public, such as concerts, lectures, theatre and film performances.

Traveling
BY TRAIN:
- The Olomouc-Main Train Station is about 2 kilometres from the Museum of Modern Art.
- If you go on foot, take a right in front of the station along the tram tracks to Masaryk Avenue and walk straight along the sidewalk to the Republic Square.
- You will come to a light grey building with a sign saying Museum of Art Olomouc, below the sign is the entrance to the museum.
- You can also take tram numbers 2, 3, 4 and 6.
BY TRAM:
- Lines 2, 3, 4 and 6 go to the Museum of Modern Art.
- The tram stop is called Náměstí Republiky (Republic Square) and is about 20 metres from the museum entrance.
- After getting off the tram, you will walk towards a light grey building with the sign Museum of Art Olomouc.
BY CAR:
- You can park your car in the parking lot on the Republic Square near the Museum of Modern Art.
- Parking is paid.
- Get out of your car, look at the tram tracks and to your left is a light grey building with an entrance directly under the sign “Museum of Art Olomouc”.

- If you go on foot, turn right in front of the station along the tram tracks to Masaryk Avenue and walk straight along the pavement until you reach Dómská Street, which leads to the right.
- Dómská Street leads to the museum, which is next to St. Wenceslas Cathedral.
- You can also take tram numbers 2, 3, 4 and 6.

- The tram stop is called Dómská and is about 150 metres from the entrance to the museum.
- After getting off the tram, you will walk down Dómská Street to St. Wenceslas Cathedral, which is adjacent to the museum.
BY CAR:
- Unfortunately, no parking is allowed in front of the Archdiocesan Museum on Wenceslas Square.
- There is no choice but to find a parking space in the adjacent streets or on the nearby Square of the Republic and walk back.
- Parking is paid.
