The project Arteca, which involves Palacký University (UP), the National Heritage Institute of the Czech Republic and the Olomouc Art Museum, brings together art historians with physicochemical research specialists at the Regional Center of Advanced Technologies and Materials (RCPTM) of the Faculty of Science, UP.

The new team has the task of discovering new scientific methods and practices that could then serve in practice in protecting and restoring monuments.
