Early in the school year there will be an increase in admissions at the Art Museum. For entrance to one of the Museums objects, people will pay 100 CZK, Sundays museum entries will remain free.
The reason for the price increase is to increase the cost of running the museum. The entrance fee also reflects the cost of organizing spectacular exhibitions of a pan-European dimension, such as Abstraction.PL or the beginning of the exhibition Breaking the Time 1908-1928 | Avant-garde art in Central Europe.
“There has been a four-year increase in admission to our museum, but we have been thinking about it for a long time, but this is untenable,” said Soukup, “despite the rise from 70 to 100 crowns compared to other institutions.
Changes will also affect family tickets. There will be 220 CZK in both of them 350 CZK. The school groups will pay 20 CZK per person, the escort will have access to the Museum free of charge. The same price applies to childrens education programs.
New admission fees will also apply to commented tours organized by museum curators in the amount of basic admission to one building.
