The unique cooperation of two state institutions and the Archbishopric of Olomouc at the Kroměříž Chateau ended yesterday. Until now, the Archbishops Chateau and the Chateau Gardens, which, together with the Flower Garden, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, have been taken care of by the National Heritage Institute and rare art collections by the Olomouc Museum of Art. However, on February 25, the so-called service contract came to an end and the chateau administration passed from the National Heritage Institute to its owner – the Olomouc Archbishopric. The National Heritage Institute thus leaves the chateau and will continue to care “only” for the State-owned Flower Garden. The chateau art collections will continue to be in the care of experts from the Museum of Art.
