Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum will join the popular Night of Churches. On Friday, June 10, from 18 to 22 hours, visitors can combine a visit to the Cathedral of St. Wenceslas with a tour of the neighboring Gothic cloister and Romanesque Bishops Palace.
In the Gothic cloister from the 14th century, you can see not only the decor – ten frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries, which belong to the rarest works of its kind in Moravia, but also the current exhibition Maior Ad Dei gloriam. The exhibition focuses on the importance and history of the Olomouc Church of the Virgin Mary, which was consecrated 300 years ago.
To the cloister visitors can enter through the door adjacent to the main entrance of the Cathedral of St. Wenceslas. The remaining part of the tour route of the Archdiocesan Museum will remain closed.
