International Online Workshop: Documentation and Visualization of Urban Ecosystems
The aim of the meeting is to present and discuss current methodological and technological approaches that enable the comprehensive recording and visualization of the historical physical, cultural, and social layers of the city, and to discuss their use in interdisciplinary research practice and in the current thinking about public space. The main focus will be on shaping public space, art within it, audience activation, etc. From a geographical perspective, attention will focus on Central and Eastern Europe.
The conference will open with a keynote lecture dedicated to the Olomouc in 3D project, which aims to create a digital model of the historic center of Olomouc, linking archival, architectural-historical, and geoinformation sources. This project will serve as a framework and starting point for a broader debate on the possibilities of visualizing and interpreting urban structures in time and space.
