The feature-length film directed by Libuše Rudinská ON BODY reveals the life philosophy of world-renowned Czech photographer Jindřich Štreit. Spectators will immerse themselves in the secrets of his relationships with his closest neighbors and will also witness the events of his life and some dramatic moments even live. The premiere will take place at the Metropol Olomouc Cinema on February 27 at 20.00.
Photographer Jindřich Štreit is a world-renowned documentary photographer and educator, who entered the history of European photography in the late 1970s with a unique collection of photographs of forgotten Moravian villages. The photographic cycle, with the simple title Village is the World, was produced continuously from 1978 until recently. Like another renowned photographer, Josef Sudek, for whom it was sufficient to look out of his studio window to make photographs, which filled viewers all around the world with enthusiasm, also Štreit convinced us that one need not look for a great theme far off. And that it does not matter what an author is and where he lives. And that his photographs are not provincial but are easy to understand in a general, humane way.
