Funny, interesting, instructive and occasionally sad was the talk show with Šimone Pánek, the director of the humanitarian organization People in Need.

Šimon Pánek was funny when, in a simple anecdote that circulated at a firm before Christmas, he characterized work for a non-profit organization: They meet former employees of People in Need before Christmas and they sey about their bonuses. The first is a high-ranking manager of a multinational company, and for a pre-Christmas bonuses he bought a trip to the Bahamas for the family, and for the rest he bought a video camera. The other is working in an advertising agency, and for a premium he goes with his family to the Alps for skiing, and for the rest he bought a new camera. The third of them has been working in People in Need and wants to buy a sweater for a premium. “And other the money?” “And rest of the money I have to borrow from my parents.”

Šimon Panek also compared the life of unnecessarily frustrated people living in the rich Czech Republic and ordinary people of Afghanistan who, in all poverty, trouble and armed conflicts, can laugh and enjoy the rare moments of peace.
