Archdiocesan Museum on Sunday for the first time linking guided tour with walks around the city. Lecturer Hana Lamatová showed participants how Roman art inspired graphics Giovanni Piranesi and Baroque architecture.

Candidates received more than themselves, and although the two-hour schedule slightly stretched, everyone stayed until the end. People peered into the places where they normally get, even in the sacristy of the church of Our Lady of the Snows.

“The point of the fresco decoration of the main aisle, where it is shown Castel SantAngelo, which was a favorite topic of Piranesi, which in Olomouc associated with antiplague dedication of the church,” said Lamatová.

Participants praised Sundays outing and would like to continue in the future. A similar format with guided tours outing want teachers to use for other topics. Perhaps next year in conjunction with the exhibition Ad Maiora Dei gloriam which is thematically linked to the arrival and influence of the Jesuits in Olomouc.
