Already on Sunday, September 20 ends Victor Vasarely exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art. Along with her ending public collection, which declared the Association of Friends of the Art Museum to support the acquisition of the group of 33 serigraphs by the founder of op-art. On the occasion of Thursdays guided tour of the exhibition the museums director Michal Soukup thanked all the donors and assured them that Vasarelys works have become adorn the museums collections.

On account of public collections, which in June announced the Association of Friends of the Museum of Art, to September 17 was about 45 thousand. The greatest gift – twenty thousand crowns – paid a founding member of the association Jindriska Burešová.

Museum Director Michal Soukup thanked the Society of Friends and to all donors. „We appreciate every contribution, even the tiniest. I hope that donors, when we will possess serigraphs, one will recall that Vasarely is in Olomouc, and thanks to them,“ he said. Although public collection failed to obtain the anticipated 300 thousand, Soukup members of the Association assured that the museum this unique acquisition opportunity not miss. „We may be the only state institution in the Czech Republic, which will own and numerous collection of works by Vasarely, and we will do everything possible to do so,“ he said. Now Museum address another benefactors, who could contribute a higher amount.
