The building of the Museum of Modern Art in Denisova street will change significantly this year. Until October will be gradually carried out a general reconstruction of roofs and facades. In those days also we repair windows in the Picture Gallery on the second floor.

Construction work partially limit the operation of the museum. Until the end of June will be closed permanent exhibition A Century of relativity. New facade gives the building in the summer. “In for this change we are happy, because after thirty years of service will have a museum decent form. Repair involves the replacement of all the display windows on the ground floor and return to the original, slightly ocher color of the object, “said the director Michal Soukup.

Renovate the museum wants to introduce the public on October 27, the 100th anniversary of the original reconstruction, which in 1916 was designed by architect Jaroslav Kovář older.
