Pop Art
Zuzana Fajmonová’s photo series Pop Art (2022) explores the relationship between consumer culture, Pop Art aesthetics, and the construction of female identity.
It was created among mothers on maternity leave, whom the artist stylized into the roles of consumer icons while preserving the attributes typical of everyday household chores. The series is a critical reflection on the tension between the ideal of representation, the advertising image, and the real-life experience of the female role. The visual style of the series draws inspiration from Pop Art, fashion, and advertising photography.
The exhibition is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition Out of the City! and the NASFO 2026 project. It is located on the first floor of Bistro Central, runs through June 30, 2026, and admission is free.
