Won two awards at the prestigious Czech Press Photo Olomouc photographers Jiří Doležel for his cycle of memory traces. It is part of a project that collects memories of opponents and people affected by Nazi and Communist totalitarianism Olomouc. The award-winning project is now embarking on the road for regional museums and schools. His first stop will be on Thursday 10 November cafe Amadeus Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum.

Traces of Memory is a project of the association of journalists and historians who collects memories of the last living witnesses to the darkest years of the recent past. Respondents project are witnesses WW2 and persecutions of the communist regime in the 50s, the victims of collectivization, church leaders, representatives of anti-communist resistance, victims and members of the secret police provocation fabricated anti-regime groups. Their testimonies are recorded on audio-visual record that complement current photographic portraits of each witness in his home environment.
