Museum of Modern Art | Salon, Cabinet
Opening: June 11 at 18.30

Abstract paintings and works on paper by Alfréd Lenica, Polish artist, violinist and activist connected with the unofficial Polish art and theatre scene. From the 1940s to the 1970s, his watercolors, gouaches and collages were created, you could say, “in a closet”, in opposition to the then politically favoured socialist realism. The exhibits are on loan from the Warsaw collections of Grzegorz Król and many of them will be shown for the first time outside the artist’s studio.
