SOMA – CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART AND PSYCHOTHERAPY
A public lecture by psychologist and therapist, deputy head of the psychiatry clinic at the Olomouc University Hospital Aleš Grambal will focus on the issue of trauma. How do we experience and communicate them? How do we cope with it and can we overcome it? Art has always been a reflective, healing or therapeutic tool, whether for its creator or audience. Is this still true? And can current technological possibilities prove ´better´ than past ones – or do they rather complicate our relationship with ourselves? The lecture will be accompanied by a discussion with MUO-SEFO curators and lecturers Barbora Kundračíková and David Hrbek. It is run by a long-term partnership programme of the Olomouc Museum of Art and the Olomouc University Hospital called SOMA.
