The exhibition of works by students of the Mléčka – Jemelka studio at FA BUT in Brno is subtitled Architecture and Urbanism of (non-/voluntary) scarcity. The cloud of themes of the potential of vague places, poverty and free thinking not only for Olomouc. Architects without borders and their comprehensive response to more than current topics of us all. Asylum. Minimal housing for a few bob, recycling, strategies for a fulfilled/fulfilled human life. Housing the vague places and inner reserves of cities that we claim are unusable. All this on the basis of a thorough analysis of the city of Olomouc and its peripheries, where we find many fascinating forms of unofficial life, but also a bare struggle for survival.
The exhibition, which was created in cooperation with the Molitor Library and the For Beautiful Olomouc association, will run until 24 October 2024.
