The Archbishops Castle in Kroměříž will be open to the public from the coming weekend. Those interested will be able to buy tickets on site or online, on weekdays the times of individual tours with online ordering of tickets in the reservation system will be listed.

“We anticipate that until classic tours are allowed, we will have weekends open in museum mode from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On weekdays, we will list the times of individual tours in the reservation system,” confirms Jiří Uhlíř, the director of the castle. The entrance to the chateau will be due to building modifications from the Podzámecká garden.

The Archbishops chateau in Kroměříž opens halls and a tower for visitors in the museum regime (without a guide), where the exhibition of the Virgin Mary Křtinská will begin, presenting a newly restored votive painting of the statue of P. M. Křtinská. Using examples of old prints, prayer books, graphics and devotional objects, he will also show the form and development of respect for the love images of the Virgin Mary of the 17th – 19th centuries. The exhibition was prepared by the curators of the Olomouc Museum of Art, which manages the extensive archbishops art collections.
