Until September 6, you can visit the exhibition Out of the Town! at the Museum of Modern Art. It showcases previously unseen photographs by Jindřich Štreit as well as his work as a curator. You can then purchase a large poster at the museum ticket office for 100 CZK and hang one of Štreit’s photographs on your wall.

The exhibition marking Jindřich Štreit’s 80th birthday presents a unique double portrait of this extraordinary figure—both as a photographer and a cultural organizer. However, this is by no means a retrospective of a man who is slowing down. On the contrary. The artist’s exhibition Out of the Town!, which runs from May 21 to September 6, 2026, at the Olomouc Museum of Art, demonstrates that vitality, concern for others, and a desire to be active can accompany a person throughout their entire life, regardless of age.

The exhibition highlights two key aspects of Štreit’s work: his photography from the 1980s and his long-standing curatorial work at the former elementary school in Sovinec. Both are united by a single theme — a deep interest in people and their everyday lives.
