Take a guided tour of Milan Dobeš's exhibition

The major retrospective exhibition of Milan Dobeš's work is slowly coming to an end. The Olomouc Museum of Art is offering a guided tour during which visitors can take a look beneath the surface of this world-renowned artist's work.

Curator Gina Renotière, together with exhibition co-author Ivan Jančár, emeritus director of the Bratislava City Gallery, member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), winner of the Martin Benka Award and the Star of Italy Award, will guide visitors through the exhibition Milan Dobeš: Celebration of Color, Light, and Movement.

Milan Dobeš (*1929) is a doyen of the international art scene, a Czechoslovak painter, graphic artist, and creator of installations and objects that are among the finest works of world constructivism and kinetic art.

“In addition to the works of Milan Dobeš, the exhibition also presents a selection of works by important world constructivists, Dobeš’s contemporaries, authors of geometric abstraction and kinetic art,” adds Renotière.
The guided tour will take place on Wednesday, September 3, starting at 4:30 p.m.
