This year, Czech Statehood Day falls on a Sunday. As part of this national holiday, admission to the Archdiocesan Museum in Olomouc and the Museum of Modern Art will be free on September 28.

We have been celebrating Czech Statehood Day as a national holiday since 2000. It commemorates St. Wenceslas, Czech prince and patron saint of Bohemia and Moravia. On this day, we remember his murder, which probably took place in 935.

On this holiday, the Olomouc Museum of Art has prepared free admission to the Museum of Modern Art and the Archdiocesan Museum in Olomouc for its visitors. Those interested can view the Small Architecture exhibition and permanent exhibitions or take a walk through Zdíkov Palace.
