Kunstkamera

The film is a walk through the castle and the former granary in Horní Staňkov, where Švankmajers Kunstkamera is installed. It is not, however, a Kunsthistorical film in the true sense of the word, but a film of the magical atmosphere of this collection and the environment where it is located. Moreover, it is not a mere presentation of the exhibits. The artefacts are photographed with the added value of Švankmajers imaginative view in the arrangement of objects and interpretation, not only verbal.
