IVAN THEIMER GALLERIA
The significance of the work of Olomouc native Ivan Theimer has exceeded the borders of our country for several decades. Since 1968, the author has lived in France, where, as in Tuscany, he has created works that have become key acquisitions of many international art institutions, and the fame of his work has been confirmed by numerous public realisations in prestigious places in Europe. In Paris, for example, he created a magnificent monument celebrating the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen on the Fields of Martha for the 200th anniversary of the Great French Revolution; in Hamburg, he created a statue of Heinrich Hein; other sculptures by Theimer can be found in Italy and, of course, in Moravia – the Via lucis monument in Uherské Brod, the Arión Fountain in Olomouc, or, more recently, the ceremonial entrance to the castle picture room of the Archbishop’s Castle in Kroměříž. And this work will be officially presented with the personal participation of Ivan Theimer. There will also be an intimate exhibition in the Kromeriz Castle Picture Gallery, which presents the initial stages of any artistic creation – sketches and models, some of which belong to monumental realisations.

MAULBERTSCH PINXIT
At 12:30 pm, the presentation of Ivan Theimer’s works in the Kromeriz Chateau will be followed by the presentation of the exhibition Maulbertsch Pinxit, dedicated to Moravian and Czech works by the late Baroque painter Franz Anton Maulbertsch, including the painting of the Manx Hall of the Kromeriz Chateau. In addition, a new catalogue dedicated to his works will be presented in the presence of the artists.
