Guitarist Fernando Espí’s brilliant success is a combination of innate musical sensitivity and a solid technical foundation. He is considered by experts to be one of the greatest Spanish classical guitarists of the new generation (Classical Guitar).

Fernando has won many national and international guitar competitions. He has performed as a soloist at prestigious Spanish festivals and concert halls. His concerts have been successful in more than thirty countries in Europe, America, North Africa and Asia. Fernando Espí is also the artistic director of the Ciutat de Xixona International Guitar Festival and founded his own record label, 6×8. His recordings have received great acclaim in the professional press.

The concert at the COLORES Festival will feature music for guitar by the great Spanish composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Listeners can look forward to the most famous pieces by Francisco Tárrega, Isaac Albéniz, Enrique Granados, Manuel de Falla or Joaquín Turina, directly inspired by Spanish dance and folkloric rhythms and so typical of their beautiful Mediterranean melodies.
