Das FILMFEST: Lubo

After being drafted into the Swiss army in 1939 to defend the border against a possible German invasion, his wife dies tragically – she was trying to prevent the authorities from taking her three young children away from her as part of a campaign to “re-educate” the street children. The Swiss-Italian film then follows Lubo’s long journey to find love, his children, self-determination and freedom for his community.
