More intensive painting course took place last weekend in the program accompanying the exhibition Olomouc Picture Gallery IV. Under the guidance of lecturers Michaela Soukupová and Hana Lamatová the trainees were taught painting watercolor, which became the viewing landscape very popular.

Walk in the open air lessons preceded the harmony of colors, contrast and color range in the studio.

“We also explained the basics of perspective and atmospheric perspective, they learned to shut the paper and make preparatory sketches. Colleague devoted participants to landscape painting of the nineteenth century,” said Soukupová.

Workshop in Olomouc Rozario and in Poděbrady also focused on various angles of observation of nature and the changing light, as well as the proper procedure for building space in the composition.

A similar course focused on painting still lifes, was held on the weekend before.
