The chateau opens this year’s season on Friday 22 March with the Spring at the Chateau event, which will offer the Representation Halls decorated with floral decorations until 7 April. “A brand new feature is the opening of previously inaccessible areas of the chateau, especially the late medieval Treasury in the newly reconstructed chateau tower, which is one of the oldest preserved parts of the chateau. Among the exhibits on display are paintings by the Renaissance painter Lucas Cranach the Elder and a 13th-century Burgundian Bible,” described the castellan of the Archbishop’s Chateau, Ivo Prokel.
