On Wednesday, January 24, the co-operation was signed by the director of the Olomouc Museum of Art Michal Soukup and the Director of the Czech Radio Olomouc Josef Podstata. The agreement concerns the mutual promotion of the activities of both institutions.
For Czech Radio it is especially important to support the organization of the international festival of radio production Prix Bohemia Radio in Olomouc. For this purpose the Art Museum will lend him half of the fence on the posters in Denisova Street. “This place is very important for the promotion of our festival in Olomouc. All the streets suddenly get stuck in a relatively narrow passage, so anyone heading to or from the center can not miss our posters, “said Josef Podstata.
Olomouc Museum of Art, thanks to this cooperation, will use advertising spots in Czech Radio Olomouc for its most significant events this year: a representative exhibition of the Polish abstract painting Abstrakce.PL (20. 4. – 19. 8.) or the Baroque Culture Festival Hortus Magicus in Kroměříž, which is held this August 11-12. “For our biggest exhibition project Years od Disarray, we would like to agree on closer cooperation with the national Czech Radio,” said Michal Soukup.
The Years od Disarray project includes an international exhibition in Olomouc, an international conference in Kroměříž, a representative publication in four language versions and educational activities. The Years od Disarray Exhibition (20 September 2018 – 27 January 2019) maps the activities of artists between 1908 and 1928 in the territory of the former Austria-Hungary and the new successor states. It is the largest international project in the Czech Republic for the so-called eighth anniversary, which the Olomouc Art Museum organizes together with the Międzynarodowe centrum kultury, Kraków, Galéria mesta Bratislavy and Janus Pannonius Múzeum Pécs. The patronage of the event was taken over by the V4 culture ministers, and Antonio Tajani, the President of the European Parliament, promised participation.
