ART workshops
Don’t worry about visiting our museum with children, because our long-standing goal is to make your visit as pleasant and interesting as possible, so that you can enjoy it all together. We also prepare a special programme for young visitors on the occasion of the Museum Night and European Heritage Days.
Within the exhibition of the Archdiocesan Museum you will find educational sets in the individual halls, which will provide you with selected topics from the visual arts through games. The sets are available in English version.

We create educational zones within our exhibitions and temporary exhibitions, where you as visitors have a unique opportunity to actively participate in learning about the world of fine art. The activities that you can do at each station range from art making to watching educational videos to other types of mental activities and engaging all human senses.
The video “Sebastiano del Piombo | Madonna with a Veil” is part of the Picture Gallery of the Olomouc Bishops and Archbishops of the Archdiocesan Museum and was awarded the 2022 Gold Medal in the category of Educational and Awareness-raising Activities at the F@IMP (Festival of Audiovisual International Multimedia Patrimony), organised by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Subcommittee on New Audiovisual Technologies and Social Media AVICOM.

The Archdiocesan Museum also offers a unique guide from the past – Bishop Karl II of Liechtenstein-Castelcorn. After borrowing a tablet, you can walk through the entire exhibition with him while completing a series of activity tasks. In 2019, the app was awarded third place in the Interactive Digital Media category at the F@IMP (Festival of Audiovisual International Multimedia Projects) organised by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) subcommittee on new audiovisual technologies and social media, AVICOM.

In the Actionbound app, we have prepared a walk that takes you through the history of the Jewish community in Olomouc. The journey includes a total of 19 interconnected stations and two bonuses. The app includes rich visual material full of contemporary and historical photographs. Audio commentary or music recordings are offered for your listening pleasure. Through video clips you can also go on a wander through inaccessible spaces.
