As part of the Norway Grants project (2021-2024): loaded – Open. Digitization, accessibility and educational use of art collections in memory institutions, we are looking for a new colleague for the post of skerist and documenter.

Place of work: the Olomouc Museum of Art, state contributory institution
Commitment: half-time
Start date: ideally from 1 September 2023

Requirements: 
– Secondary school education in the humanities with a high school diploma, preferably a university degree in art history, museology, history or related fields
– knowledge of PC and database systems, preferably experience with DEMUS, Bach, Museion, Monuments Catalogue, etc.
– orientation in the problems of digitization of historical collections, experience an advantage
– basic experience with graphic editors (e.g. Photoshop)

Job description:
– cataloguing: checking and completing electronic and paper records of the MUO collection in accordance with Act 122/200 Coll. on the protection of museum collections
– cooperation with the depository manager and the restorer in the digitisation of the MUO collection:

o checking the condition and completing the object records
o scanning and follow-up processing of digital data
o checking the object after digitisation

– Independence, but also the ability to work as part of a team.
– accuracy, reliability, systematic, thoroughness
