The first exhibition of this years MUO can be seen in the cafe of the Museum of Modern Art. It presents works by Czech graphic artist Jan Moravec and accompanies a large exhibition project mapping graphics from the collections of the Museum of Art Art & Print / Post.Print . On Tuesday 14 January it will be personally introduced by Jan Moravec himself.

Jan Moravec (1975), a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, currently a teacher at the Secondary School of Graphic Arts in Jihlava and also the owner of Reyneks satin master, is a master in two graphic areas – etching and dry needle. He uses both of them specifically and in his own way, but principally for the same purpose – to record the landscape and its experience, while the landscape can also be the crowd, the scenery of human bodies, not only the geography of the Highlands. The poetry and subtleties that are typical of him do not, in any case, contrast with what can be called “observation results”, on the contrary – make them full-fledged.
